Blues Therapy Radio has been on the air since 2004 and has been a finalist for Best Blues Radio Show 14 times (Inland Empire Blues Awards). BTR is broadcast on multiple FM stations as well as many online stations and on podcast servers as well. In 2004 Biggdaddy Ray Hansen and Armand “The Doctor” Parada recorded the first show on college radio at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. It was Biggdaddy’ Blues Show for the first few years. The show streamed worldwide from the very start. The name was changed to “Blues Therapy Radio Worldwide” to take the focus off one person and put it where it belonged-the healing power of music in general and Blues specifically. In the first 15 years the show made it into the top 3 finals for Best Blues Radio Show 14 times. The awards were based in Spokane, Wa and this show was the only one to even make it into the finals that wasn’t a local show. Biggdaddy Ray was inducted into the official Blues Hall of Fame as a deejay in November of 2012. BTR has been heard on stations in the United States, the UK, Canada, Spain and Amsterdam. Each show is available as a podcast as well. Blues Therapy Radio is a proud member of the Blues Foundation.
