I guess from a very early age I was bitten by the music bug. Music is my oxygen I really couldn’t live my life without it. Back when I saw The Beatles performing All You Need Is Love on Top Of The Pops that was it !. My life took many turns since then born on a farm I spent almost 40 years of my life as a dairy farmer. Then in the late nineties worked in the agri- business sector. Although during all of that period music was ever present in my life. Then it happened!! June 2019 I did my first radio interview!! At the time I was a committee member of The Harvest Blues Festival in Monaghan. That year we had a German blues rock artist Jimmy Cornett performing so it made sense to reach out to a German music station to speak about the festival. Minutes after the interview the station radio home of rock contacted me and said they would like me to work with them and offered me a weekly music show. It was a dream come true so naturally I jumped at the opportunity. So in August 2019 Turn It Up was born .I’ve enjoyed every single moment of working on this show. I also work as an interviewer/reviewer with Making A Scene Magazine an independent online publication, which has a worldwide audience of 8 million monthly page reads. Also I’m currently musical director/ Chairperson of The Harvest Blues Festival a position I’m truly honored to have. My aim has always been to highlight and promote through airplay and show interviews the many extremely talented emerging artists. They are our future so I see a presenter like myself as a prospector for golden nuggets of talent, and when discovered to share it with you the listeners.
